1. Data controller
The controller of your personal data is JANQUIN Import & Export Co., Ltd. (an unofficial, shortened Latin-script rendering of our company name registered in China), trading as JANQUIN · Comercio Internacional, located in Futian Subdistrict, Yiwu, Zhejiang, China.
For any matter related to your data, write to us on WhatsApp (opens in a new tab) or at [email protected]. Requests about personal data are handled by our customer service team through these same channels.
2. Data we process
We process the data you share when you write to us and the data generated during the quote and the operation:
- Identification and contact data: name, company, position, WhatsApp number and email address.
- Operation data: product, quantities, specifications, country, city and delivery location, and packaging and labeling requirements.
- Data needed for export, transport and customs clearance, such as the details of the importer at destination.
We do not request sensitive personal data. Contact and order details are needed to quote and provide the service; if you do not provide them, we cannot handle your request. If you give us data about other people (for example, a colleague, the importer or your customs broker), please inform them of this notice. Our services are aimed at businesses; we do not knowingly collect data from minors.
3. Purposes
- Handling your inquiry and preparing quotes.
- Coordinating the agreed purchase, inspection, consolidation, transport and delivery.
- Keeping you informed about the progress of your operation.
- Complying with legal, tax and customs obligations.
All of these purposes are necessary for the service you request. We do not use your data for advertising or other purposes, and we do not create profiles or make decisions based solely on automated processing. If in the future we want to send you commercial information, we will first ask for your express consent, and you can withdraw it at any time with a simple message.
4. Legal bases and authorization
We process your data: to handle your request and to prepare and perform the contract with your company; where you act on behalf of a client company, on the basis of our legitimate interest in communicating with its representatives; to comply with legal, accounting, tax and customs obligations; and with your authorization, where the law of your country requires it.
Before we process your data, we ask for your express authorization: the inquiry template includes an authorization sentence and, if you do not send it, we will ask for it in our first reply. We keep your confirmation as evidence. You can withdraw it at any time by writing to us; withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out or processing we must keep for legal reasons.
5. This website
This website has no forms and uses no cookies, analytics or advertising tools, and we do not store data about its visitors. This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc., United States). Cloudflare automatically logs technical data about each visit (IP address, date and time, requested page and browser type) to serve the page and protect it against abuse; it acts as our processor and handles this data mainly in the United States and the European Economic Area for a limited period. We do not use these logs to identify you. When you click a WhatsApp or email button, the communication takes place in that service and is also subject to its terms and privacy policy.
6. Who we share your data with and international transfers
We share only the data needed for your operation with suppliers and factories, inspection companies, freight forwarders, shipping lines and carriers, and customs brokers, in China and in the destination country of the goods. Whenever possible, we share company data rather than personal data. When an operation requires sending your personal data to a specific company, we will first tell you its name, country and contact details.
Because we are based in China, your data is processed in China, which may not offer a level of protection equivalent to that of your country, and it is sent to the destination country. To communicate, we use WhatsApp (Meta) and Outlook.com email (Microsoft), whose servers may be located in other countries, such as the United States. These transfers are necessary for your inquiry and the operation, and are also based on your express authorization (section 4); without it, we cannot provide the service. We do not sell your data or share it for advertising purposes.
7. Your rights and how to exercise them
You can, free of charge:
- find out whether we process your data and access it, including a copy in electronic format or its portability where applicable;
- find out who we share it with;
- correct, update or complete it;
- request its deletion, anonymization or blocking;
- object to its processing or limit its use or disclosure, for example by asking us not to share it with a third party when this is not essential;
- withdraw your authorization and learn the consequences of not giving it;
- request proof of the authorization you gave us.
To exercise your rights, write to us at [email protected] or on WhatsApp (opens in a new tab), stating your name, a contact method, the right you wish to exercise and the data it concerns. We may ask for additional information to verify your identity. We will reply within 8 business days and, where applicable, carry out your request within the legal time limits of your country.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the data protection authority in your country: Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio (Colombia), Secretaría Anticorrupción y Buen Gobierno (Mexico), Autoridad Nacional de Protección de Datos Personales of the Ministerio de Justicia y Derechos Humanos (Peru) or Agência Nacional de Proteção de Dados – ANPD (Brazil).
8. Retention
We keep data from inquiries that do not lead to a purchase for a maximum of 2 years from the last contact. Data from operations is kept for as long as the business relationship lasts and, afterwards, for up to 4 years to handle possible claims. Accounting, tax and customs records that contain personal data are kept for the minimum periods required by Chinese law: 30 years for accounting vouchers and books, 10 years for tax and export records, and 3 years from customs release for customs records and import and export contracts. At the end of these periods, we delete or anonymize the data.
9. Security
Access to your data is limited to the people handling your operation. We protect our communication accounts with two-step verification and keep operation documents on our work devices. If a security incident occurs that may affect you, we will notify you without delay and report it to the authorities where the law requires.
10. Changes to this notice and language
We will publish any changes on this page, along with the date of the update. If a change is significant (for example, new purposes or recipients), we will also tell you through the channel you used to contact us and, where the law requires, ask for your authorization again.
This notice was written in Spanish; the Portuguese and English versions are translations. In case of discrepancy, the Spanish version prevails, except for people in Brazil, for whom the Portuguese version prevails.
